Paul Jasiura has thirty years experience in commercial litigation (including bankruptcy and insolvency) as well as Real Estate and corporate solicitor's work. A significant portion of his solicitor's work has involved forestry sector issues. Paul has qualified as a Mediator for Alternative Dispute Resolution and believes in making this option available to clients, where appropriate, to settle cases early and cost-effectively. However, where litigation is necessary, he enters the fray fearlessly. He has appeared as an advocate before all levels of trial courts in Ontario as well as the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.
Paul is known for being well-organized and paying close attention to all the important details of a transaction. He takes great care with his files, large and small. With his extensive experience, he is able to guide his clients in planning their affairs so as to minimize the risk of future difficulties. Paul proudly maintains his ties to the Polish community, serving many Polish-speaking clients.
In the Thunder Bay community, Paul has been a Board member of the Catholic Family Development Centre, the Ogden East End Community Health Centre, Wesway Inc. and the Community Support Services Council (Lutheran Community Care Centre), which address the funding for mentally disabled adults. He had also served for several years on the Thunder Bay Family Law Liaison between Bench and Bar and been a seminar leader (Corporate law Section) of the Bar Admission Course.
