Nick Melchiorre was called to the Bar in 2004. He attended the University of Saskatchewan Law School. He also holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Calgary, and Honours Criminology degree from the University of Windsor. Before and during law school, Nick worked as a social worker with the Province of Alberta and Yukon Government.
Nick’s practice is focused primarily on the areas of corporate, commercial and real estate law. Nick has acted for several types of private and public entities in a variety of complex commercial transactions, including financing and real estate development.
Nick is a seasoned litigator with extensive court experience in the Superior Court and Ontario Court of Justice. Nick has also appeared before administrative tribunals, such as the Labour Relations Board and the Ontario Energy Board.
Nick enjoys legal writing and has contributed, along with other lawyers of the firm, to published articles. Nick is currently on the Board of Directors for Wesway, which is a local non-profit organization that provides community-based respite care services. As well, Nick sits on the Board of Directors for the Thunder Bay International Baseball Association, the organization that staged the recent World Junior Baseball Championship in Thunder Bay. Nick is also a keen participant in many of the firm's charitable activities, including the 24-hour Corporate Relay, Big Bike for Heart and Stroke, and other fundraising events.
