Ross practices in the areas of Commercial and Residential Real Estate , Land Development , Land Use Law , Corporate and Commercial Law , Estate Planning (including Wills and Powers of Attorney ), and Estate Law .

With over forty years of experience, Ross has a thorough knowledge of the law in these areas and keeps abreast of new legislation affecting his clients. Ross is one of the first lawyers in the province to obtain the Certified Specialist (Real Estate) designation, and was certified by The Law Society of Upper Canada on May 25, 2004. 

Ross has exceptional "people skills" and willingly provides step-by-step guidance when needed to either first-time homebuyers or seasoned business people, and Ross' sense of humour always endures to "calm the storm" in challenging circumstances.

Ross has served on the Board of Governors of the United Way of Ontario, and has been on the Board of the United Way of Thunder Bay for thirty years, including a term as President.  He was a Board member of the Thunder Bay Community Foundation for many years, and was a past President.  Ross is a Past President and long-time member of the Fort William Rotary Club.  In 1995 (the 25th anniversary of the creation of the City of Thunder Bay), Ross was one of twenty-five citizens awarded the City of Thunder Bay Silver Achievement Award for twenty-five years of volunteer service in the city.   As well, in April 2008, he received the Spirit of Thunder Bay Award for his many years of volunteer service in Thunder Bay.
