Sea Of Pink
Weiler, Maloney, Nelson was once again excited to enter a team – The Women at Weilers and BS - to participate in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC “Run for the Cure” on Sunday, October 4, 2009.
The weather on Sunday left little to be desired – dreary and wet – but when you came within close proximity of the Fort William Stadium, you could hear the excitement in the air. When you actually entered the Stadium, what you saw was an amazing Sea of Pink. Many teams had donned theme costumes – predominantly pink of course! – and you could not help but be drawn enthusiastically into this inspirational event. All participants were coming together for one cause, and one cause only – a show of solidarity against breast cancer as they gathered to celebrate victories with the survivors and remember those who had lost the battle to breast cancer.
All in all, when the Weilers team crossed the finished line, we crossed that line elated, and united - determined to fundraise and support this worthy cause which has affected two of our co-workers, as well as family members and friends.
