The Partners at Weilers are very pleased to announce that Shannon Burkinshaw has joined our law firm effective November 16, 2009. Shannon is today’s lawyer - a young professional who brings warmth and energy to the table, and naturally puts her clients at ease. She is equally adept at translating that energy into effective results.
Shannon originally hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, and obtained her B.A. from the University of British Columbia in 2004. She moved to Toronto, and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 2007. Shannon was called to the bar in 2008.
Shannon loves Thunder Bay – the city itself, the people and the pace of life. She readily admits to being a movie buff (especially Disney movies), and is passionate about musical theatre and Chihuahuas, having rescued one – Tangerine - who is now an integral part of her family.
Shannon’s practice focuses on the areas of Family Law , Civil Litigation , as well as Labour Relations and Employment Law . She has recently completed training in Collaborative Family Law.
