TBLA Awards Brian Babcock Esteemed Community Service Award
On Tuesday March 31st, at its Annual General Meeting, our own Brian Babcock was given this year's Thunder Bay Law Association Community Service award.
Each year the TBLA gives out two awards: one to a member who has given exceptional service to the profession and one to a member who has given exceptional service to the community at large.
This year's award for service to the community recognized several of Brian's contributions to the community:
- 2000 to present, Director, Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce . Chair 2008, Immediate Past chair 2009
- 2007 to present citizen member, Waterfront Development Committee
- 2008 to 2009 member, corporate campaign team, George Jeffrey Children’s centre
I think all of us have seen the excellent video presentation and public service announcement showing Brian's personal involvement with the Center itself and his personal support of the Center's fundraising campaign.
